Conditions of Entry
1. Conditions and race instructions
By entering the race you agree to abide by the Conditions of Entry and any race instructions given to you in advance or on the race day by the organisers and officials of the Norwich Union City v City 10K race.
2. Rules of competition
By entering the race you agree to abide by the rules of competition as stipulated by UK Athletics, the governing body for the sport in the UK.
3. Age restriction
Entrants must be at least 17 years of age on 3 June 2007.
4. Entry fee
Entries will be accepted only when accompanied by the appropriate entry fee. Entry fees cannot be refunded once your entry has been accepted.
5. Entry validity
Entries are valid for the 2007 Norwich Union City v City 10K race only and cannot be deferred.
6. Wearing of race numbers
Due to safety reasons and for the identification of entrants by medical staff, all entrants must wear the race number duly issued to them by the event organisers. The race number should be securely pinned on the front of the entrant's T-shirt or running vest. Entrants with no race number will be disqualified.
Back to Top7. Wearing of Race Chip
In order to identify each entrant and provide accurate race times, each entrant must wear the Race Chip duly provided in the Norwich Union City v City 10K Race Pack. The event organisers will not be able to provide an official finishing time for any entrant who does not wear their Race Chip in the correct manner.
8. Transfer or sale of race numbers
Due to safety reasons and for the identification of entrants by medical and other staff, we prohibit the swapping, transfer (or sale) of race numbers. Please do not put someone else at risk, and help us to ensure we are able to maintain the appropriate levels of care for all entrants.
9. Change of address
If your address details change after you have submitted your application, you should notify us at info@cityvcity.com
10. Wheelchair entrants
The race will be staged under IPC rules and all self-propelled wheelchair athletes must conform to the BWRA minimal classification race system. It is strongly recommended that only experienced wheelchair racers attempt the race unaided. Assisted wheelchair participants will be allocated a race number to assemble at the rear of the field and must ensure their aide is also entered in the race.
11. Medical conditions
It is strongly recommended that you train for the run and prepare for the challenge. If you have not exercised before or for some time, consult your doctor for a check-up. If you have a medical condition, please follow your doctor's advice.
12. Race mementos
Only finishers will receive a commemorative medal. Photographs of race finishers will also be available for purchase.

It is not permitted for entrants to participate in the Norwich Union City v City 10K race wearing or using wheeled accessories including but not limited to roller skates, roller blades, scooters or pushchairs. Participants must also not be carrying an item or behaving in a way that may compromise the safety of themselves and/or others. Blind people will be allowed to participate only with a guide or guide dog, and a suitable starting position will be allocated.
14. Data protection
Norwich Union complies with the Data Protection Act 1998 and you have the right of access to your personal records held on our computer.
15. Use of images
By entering the race, you give Norwich Union permission for the free use of your name, voice or picture in any publicity material produced by Norwich Union or in any coverage of the event.
16. Race cancellation
If the event is cancelled or delayed due to unforeseen circumstances we will endeavour to stage the event at a later date. In such circumstances we will try to let you know by email or in writing of the cancellation or delay. Our entire liability in respect of all costs and expenses you may incur as a result of such cancellation or delay will be the entry price you have paid to take part in the Norwich Union City v City 10K race.
17. Race alterations
In the event of unforeseen circumstances it may be necessary to alter details of the event including, but not limited to, the route of the event and facilities available at the venue.
